O’s Story
(serves 2)
4 ounces Brandy
3 ounces White Rum
2 ounces Triple Sec
1 ounce Lemon Juice
cracked ice*
Fill cocktail shaker with cracked ice. Add all the ingredients. Shake vigorously until frosted. Strain into two chilled wine goblets.
Enjoy!
**
*It’s important that you use cracked ice in this cocktail… anything else will affect the flavor that is intended. Oh… by the way… this cocktail is extremely potent and not meant for the timid. Drink under advisement! <wink> ~~ penny

Absolutely great poem! I’m not a big reader of poetry. I only enjoy so many as there are a lot of ‘poets’ out there. This was really interesting and entertaining. Photo was cool. I’m not much of a Brandy drinker but you never know.

Welcome to Vineyard Road, Anna!
So nice of you to join me for Happy Hour!
Thank you so much for the compliment..! Every now and again, I’ll post a poem… they are usually extremely cryptic and not many ‘get them’, but… come to think of it… poetry usually has many meanings, depending on the reader.
But… in the end.. I’m glad you enjoyed! Cheers! And be careful with that brandy, should you choose to indulge… ‘take under advisement’!!

And you should have seen what transpired in the locker room afterward. Oops now I can’t stand up. I’ll get back to you if it draws any attention.

I really like this. The short, staccato words, combined with the thought of Russell Crowe and I am in the arena with him. So much more evocative than a standard paragraph. And that cocktail sounds delicious, although Im not sure what cracked ice is…

Staccato words like the click of Stiletto heels..!
Thank you for the compliment, Ms. Cake!
You can create cracked ice by wrapping regular ice cubes in a towel and pounding them with a mallet to break into pieces. Not to be confused with crushed ice.
